dc.description.abstractA procura por procedimentos estéticos tem crescido constantemente. Assim, a área da biomedicina conjuntamente com a estética conta com várias opções utilizando aparelhos e técnicas que desempenham diferentes mecanismos de ação no organismo. Dessa forma, o objetivo do estudo visa analisar a importância dos exames clínicos laboratoriais associados aos procedimentos estéticos. A revisão de literatura foi realizada por pesquisa bibliográfica, com caráter qualitativo e descritivo, foram apreciadas bibliotecas virtuais, e também bancos de dados de artigos científicos, tais como Google Acadêmico, Scielo e Pubmed. A aplicação de toxina botulínica, tratamentos para alopécia e gordura localizada, se mostram como importantes ferramentas não só para a beleza e autoestima, mas também para contribuir com saúde dos pacientes, portanto realizar exames antes e após o tratamento é fundamental para avaliar a eficácia, identificar possíveis riscos e orientar o paciente sobre quaisquer ajustes necessários, garantindo assim melhores resultados.pt_BR

dc.description.resumoThe demand for aesthetic procedures has been steadily increasing. Consequently, the field of biomedicine, together with aesthetics, offers various options employing devices and techniques that perform different mechanisms of action on the body. Thus, the aim of this study is to analyze the importance of clinical laboratory tests associated with aesthetic procedures. The literature review was conducted through bibliographic research, with a qualitative and descriptive approach. Virtual libraries and scientific article databases such as Google Scholar, Scielo, and PubMed were consulted. The application of botulinum toxin, treatments for alopecia, and localized fat reduction have proven to be important tools not only for enhancing beauty and self-esteem but also for contributing to patients' health. Therefore, conducting tests before and after treatment is essential to assess efficacy, identify potential risks, and guide patients regarding necessary adjustments, thereby ensuring better outcomes.pt_BR
