dc.description.abstractO trabalho tem como objetivo identificar as motivações do Movimento Brasil Livre, MBL, ao defender a implantação de uma agenda neoliberal no Brasil. A partir do contexto social vivido pelo país desde as manifestações iniciadas em 2013, verificamos o fortalecimento da defesa de ideias neoliberais capitaneado por movimentos jovens, dos quais se destaca o MBL. Nesse sentido, o trabalho sustenta a ideia de que os jovens integrantes desse grupo acompanham um movimento mundial de disseminação das ideias neoliberais em busca de poder e projeção social. Para tanto, identificamos as raízes do neoliberalismo e a atuação dos think tanks como defensores de tais ideias. Sendo esses a base do MBL, analisamos então as estratégias de atuação desse movimento social e a sua trajetória até os dias atuais. Na realização do trabalho foram usadas fontes documentais, cobertura midiática dos fatos e entrevistas semiestruturadas com os integrantes do MBL e dos institutos liberais.pt_BR

dc.description.resumoThe purpose of this study is to identify the motivations of the Brasil Livre Movement (Movimento Brasil Livre, MBL) as it defends the implementation of a neoliberal agenda in Brazil. In light of the social context of the country since the 2013 demonstrations, we verify a growing support of neoliberal ideas by youth movements, of which the MBL stands out. In that regard, this study supports that these groups follow a global movement that disseminates neoliberal ideas as a means to achieve power and social projection. To that end, we identify the roots of neoliberalism as well as the work of think tanks in support of such ideas. Considering that these ideas are the basis of the MBL, we analyze the strategy of this social movement and its course until the present days. For this study, we used different sources including documents, media coverage and semi-structured interviews with members of the MBL and liberal institutes.pt_BR
