dc.description.abstract	Esta dissertação baseia-se em pesquisa biográfica focada na trajetória de João. Trata-se de alguém que aos quatorze anos de idade já fazia uso de drogas ilícitas, e, na mesma época, enxergou como oportunidade começar a participar do tráfico de drogas no bairro onde vive. Em certo momento de sua trajetória, João foi preso e condenado por tráfico de drogas e porte ilegal de armas, sobre o qual recaiu uma pena de sete anos e cinco meses de reclusão, três dos quais em regime fechado. Após receber o alvará de soltura, João procurou afastar-se das práticas ilícitas de outrora e seguir um caminho diferente, uma outra vida. Procura-se compreender o que chamamos de ‘transformação biográfica’ do personagem, a partir da seguinte questão central: Considerando que as circunstâncias sociais, as quais são externas ao agente, pouco se alteraram, partimos da hipótese de que o agente internamente mudou, a partir de novas preocupações, delineadas reflexivamente por meio de conversas internas. Com apoio na ideia de uma “sociologia em escala individual”, destacaremos eventos extremos e traumáticos pelos quais o pesquisado passou, os quais diretamente influenciaram em suas conversas internas, alterando seus projetos – os quais são formulados e construídos dentro de um campo de possibilidades –, suas respostas às circunstâncias sociais, e sendo assim, em suas práticas sociais. Por meio de método de investigação baseado em entrevistas semiestruturadas, a pesquisa tem a pretensão de compreender uma trajetória de “saída do crime”, contribuindo para mostrar as motivações, reflexões e dificuldades de quem decide não reincidir em práticas criminosas.	pt_BR

dc.description.resumo	This dissertation is based on a biographical research focused on João's trajectory. This is someone who at the age of fourteen was already using illicit drugs, and, at the same time, saw it as an opportunity to start participating in drug trafficking in the neighborhood where he lives. At a certain point in his career, João was arrested and convicted of drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons, on which he was sentenced to seven years and five months in prison, three of which in a closed regime. After receiving the release permit, João sought to move away from the illicit practices of the past and follow a different path, another life. We seek to understand what we call the 'biographical transformation' of the character, based on the following central question: Considering that the social circumstances, which are external to the agent, have changed little, we start from the hypothesis that the agent has changed internally, from new concerns, reflexively outlined through internal conversations. Supported by the idea of a “sociology on an individual scale”, we will highlight extreme and traumatic events that the researched person went through, which directly influenced his internal conversations, changing his projects – which are formulated and built within a field of possibilities – his responses to social circumstances, and as such, in his social practices. Through an investigation method based on semi-structured interviews, the research intends to understand a trajectory of "getting out of crime", contributing to show the motivations, reflections and difficulties of those who decide not to relapse into criminal practices.	pt_BR
