A segurança pública e o município de Vila Velha- ES

Abstract

Public safety is a very present topic in our daily lives and is always highlighted in the media. This article aims to examine municipal management in public security in the municipality of Vila Velha (ES). In this context, it seeks to address the relationship between the Municipal Integrated Management Office (GGIM) and the Programs of the Municipal Education Secretariats (SEMED); Social Assistance (SEMAS); Sports and Leisure (SEMEL) and Social Defense and Traffic (SEMDEST) and their contribution to the construction of public security policies aimed at the five administrative regions of the municipality. It is noteworthy that the methodology used was bibliographical research. In addition to the referenced publications, documentary data was also collected from each municipal department listed above, as well as information from state and federal bodies, with the aim of identifying public security policies and their application in the daily lives of the departments under analysis. As a contribution, it can be highlighted that the research is important to understand the measures taken by the municipality to promote public safety and protect its population.
