dc.description.abstract	O objeto de estudo deste trabalho versou sobre as angústias e conflitos internos que as assistentes sociais enfrentam na mediação entre políticas públicas e o cidadão, beneficiário. Trata-se de uma pesquisa realizada junto ao CRAS do município de Montanha-ES que contou com entrevistas às assistentes sociais que atuam nesse setor, observações de atendimentos e pesquisa bibliográfica para fundamentar as percepções da pesquisadora. O objetivo geral foi analisar a forma de intervenção dos assistentes sociais do município de Montanha considerando a questão da seletividade. Diante o exposto sobre as transformações da assistência social, como essas pessoas que atuam da ponta da burocracia estatal a experimentam? São pessoas com seus dramas e suas angústias, suas moralidades, suas visões de mundo. Ao mesmo tempo têm que lidar com a letra fria da lei. Como quem está na “ponta” da burocracia, quem a faz de fato, como experimentam isso? O problema de pesquisa que surge dessa inquietação traz compreender sobre quais são os desafios enfrentados pelo assistente social dentro da questão da seletividade no município de Montanha? Os resultados foram descritos ao longo dos capítulos juntamente com o diálogo com autores e análises de quem vivencia essa realidade dia após dia e do ponto de vista sociológico. Para construir o trabalho foi estruturado todo um percurso metodológico a fim de não somente organizar a pesquisa, mas também nortear as ações que deram início e produziram conhecimentos importantes.	pt_BR

dc.description.resumo	The object of study of this work was about the anxieties and internal conflicts that social workers face in mediating between public policies and the citizen, the beneficiary. This is a research carried out with CRAS in the municipality of Montanha-ES, which included interviews with social workers who work in this sector, observations of care and bibliographical research to support the researcher's perceptions. The general objective was to analyze the form of intervention by social workers in the municipality of Montanha considering the issue of selectivity. Given the above about the transformations in social assistance, how do these people who work at the top of the state bureaucracy experience it? They are people with their dramas and anxieties, their moralities, their worldviews. At the same time they have to deal with the cold letter of the law. As those who are at the “edge” of bureaucracy, those who actually do it, how do they experience it? The research problem that arises from this concern brings an understanding of what are the challenges faced by social workers within the issue of selectivity in the municipality of Montanha? The results were described throughout the chapters together with dialogue with authors and analyzes of those who experience this reality day after day and from a sociological point of view. To build the work, an entire methodological path was structured in order to not only organize the research, but also guide the actions that initiated and produced important knowledge.	pt_BR
