dc.description.abstractEste artigo tem como objetivo discutir a influência da sobrecarga de trabalho na assistência de enfermagem. O trabalho na área da enfermagem no Brasil é caracterizado por jornadas de trabalho longas e exaustivas, que muitas vezes exigem que os profissionais mantenham múltiplos vínculos empregatícios devido aos baixos salários. O método utilizado foi a Revisão Integrativa de Literatura, com busca nas bases de dados do SCIELO, BDENF e LILACS. Diante dos estudos analisados identificou-se que a dupla jornada de trabalho pode ser associada a fatores como as condições de trabalho, falta de profissional, estresse ocupacional e desgaste mental, ocasionando falha na assistência de enfermagem, podendo levar a acidentes de trabalho e a eventos adversos. Conclui-se que a sobrecarga de trabalho e as condições de trabalho precárias, aliadas à baixa valorização da profissão, exigem uma atenção especial para garantir a saúde dos profissionais e, consequentemente, a qualidade da assistência ao paciente.pt_BR

This article aims to clarify how the double working day interferes with the assistance provided to the client. Work in the nursing area in Brazil is characterized by long and exhausting working hours, which often require professionals to maintain multiple employment relationships due to low wages. The method used was the Integrative Literature Review, with a search in databases such as “SCIELO”, “BDENF” and “LILACS”. Given the studies analyzed, it was identified that the double working day causes a work overload can be associated due to factors such as working conditions, lack of professional, occupational stress and mental exhaustion, causing the failure of nursing care, which can lead to work accidents and adverse events. It is concluded that work overload and precarious working conditions, combined with the low appreciation of the profession, require special attention to ensure the health of professionals and, consequently, the quality of patient care.pt_BR
