dc.description.abstractO linchamento é um fenômeno social complexo, preocupante e pode ser verificado regularmente em diversas regiões nacionais. Hodiernamente, o Brasil está inserido no âmbito dos países que mais lincham no mundo. A intensificação de casos em tempos contemporâneos atrelada à carência deste segmento temático no contexto do estado do Espírito Santo acabou por direcionar esta pesquisa a (re)pensar sobre o fenômeno através do desenvolvimento de um estudo que o analisa no período de 2010-2020. Neste sentido, o presente trabalho objetivou investigar os linchamentos ocorridos na Região Metropolitana da Grande Vitória nos últimos onze anos, propondo, assim, o seguinte problema: os linchamentos verificados na Região Metropolitana da Grande Vitória entre os anos de 2010 e 2020 apresentam padrões característicos e repetições de comportamento? A partir de um banco documental de dados que reúne 144 casos singulares extraídos de 197 reportagens jornalísticas, além do estabelecimento de variáveis de análise, pôde-se obter uma série de resultados, os quais foram capazes de responder satisfatoriamente ao problema em destaque, conduzindo a pesquisa à seguinte conclusão: existem características que tipicamente se fazem presentes na maior parte dos linchamentos examinados (indicando padrões comportamentais) e outras que se apresentam em menor escala, de modo esporádico.pt_BR

dc.description.resumoLynching is a complex, worrying social phenomenon that can be regularly seen in different national regions. Nowadays, Brazil is among the countries that most lynch in the world. The intensification of cases in contemporary times linked to the lack of this thematic segment in the context of the state of Espírito Santo ended up directing this research to (re)think about the phenomenon through the development of a study that analyzes it in the period 2010-2020. In this sense, the present work aimed to investigate the lynching’s that occurred in the Metropolitan Region of Greater Vitória in the last eleven years, thus proposing the following problem: do the lynching’s that took place in the Greater Vitória Metropolitan Region between 2010 and 2020 show characteristic patterns and repetitions of behavior? From a documental database that brings together 144 singular cases extracted from 197 journalistic reports, in addition to the establishment of analysis variables, it was possible to obtain a series of results, which were able to satisfactorily respond to the highlighted problem, leading to the research to the following conclusion: there are characteristics that are typically present in most of the lynching’s examined (indicating behavioral patterns) and others that are present on a smaller scale, sporadically.pt_BR
